He recalls that during the 44-day war, many of his employees were called to serve in the army. Tragically, some of these employees became martyrs, losing their lives in the fight for Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity. Talibov is deeply moved by the sacrifices made by these individuals, and his company continues to support the families of the martyrs, naming some of their business units after them to honor their memory.

He and his team organized the delivery of 15 trucks filled with supplies to the frontlines. Although four of these trucks did not return, the company remained undeterred in its mission to assist the soldiers. Talibov expresses immense pride in playing a part in this historic moment for Azerbaijan, viewing the company’s contributions not as a business decision but as a patriotic duty. In his view, the war was not just about territorial gains but about participating in a defining chapter of Azerbaijan’s history.

Reflecting on the post-war reconstruction efforts, Talibov emphasizes that the restoration of Karabakh is a national responsibility that all Azerbaijani citizens, including business leaders, must support. He explains that his company quickly expanded its operations to Shusha, opening a supermarket to serve the local population. However, he insists that his company’s involvement in Karabakh is driven by patriotism, not profit. He describes his company’s contributions to Karabakh as a way of giving back to the nation, stressing that businesses should not focus solely on financial gains but should also take pride in contributing to the country’s future.

Talibov’s company is also actively involved in corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects, supporting both the Yaşat Foundation and Karabakh Revival Fund. He describes how his company donated to the Karabakh Revival Fund and engaged with the organization to determine how best to support its efforts. In addition, Talibov mentions plans to contribute to the rebuilding of schools in Fuzuli and other areas of Karabakh, highlighting the importance of education in the region’s long-term development. He believes that businesses have a duty to invest in the future of Karabakh and to help create opportunities for the people returning to their homes after years of displacement.
